The Functional Neurosurgery Research Program Research at the University of Chicago advances the understanding and the treatment of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders through clinical trials, outcome studies, advanced imagining, and human intracranial electrophysiology. Investigators study brain circuits and develop innovative therapies, including minimally invasive surgical approaches, neuromodulation, and cell transplantation, with collaboration spanning neurosurgery, neurology, neuroscience, psychiatry, and engineering.
