PGY-1 resident and former research fellow Roberto Alcazar-Felix is the first author of a recent Neurosurgery publication, “Relevance of Lesion Volume as an Outcome in Cerebral Cavernous Malformation Drug Trial: Exploratory Analyses in Atorvastatin Treatment of Cavernous Angiomas with Symptomatic Hemorrhage.”
The team reported the first-in-disease data on lesion volume fluctuations in cavernous angiomas following recent hemorrhage, highlighting important implications for assessing the effects of potential drug treatments on rebleeding risk.
